Topic: TC Helicon create xt - HELP!

Hi, I've just bought the pedal today and I'm really happy with the sound. The only issue I have is that the manual is almost useless?!

I'm finding it really difficult to work out how i flick through all the 100 said fx's?!

All i seem to be able to do is flick through the presets?!

I got the pedal mainly so I can create my own sound.....with reverb and some delay, control how much of each and then store this so i can use it live. How on earth do you do this? the manual don't tell you anything??

I'm really confused over the A/B button issue and its not clear at all.

Please can someone help me because its a great pedal but annoying me now!

Many thanks

Re: TC Helicon create xt - HELP!

Hiya vole,

My first guess would be that the confusion here relates to the way the Create XT handles "Styles" and "Presets".

While it may take some time getting used to, I would recommend reading through the "Getting to know Create XT" section of the manual (you can download the full manual for free via TC-Helicon's website) again (starting on page 16) to get an understanding of this point.

Once you have found a style that is close to what you are trying to acheive you can then tweak and store it as a preset. What may be helpful to you is the detailed list of styles (including tweakable parameters) that can be found via the following link:

Don't forget, if you get stuck you can always contact TC-Helicon's support team who are always happy to help via:

Re: TC Helicon create xt - HELP!

Hey, make sure you download the latest manual. There was a huge difference between the manual that came with mine and the updated version that I downloaded. I didnt have a clue what was going on with the first manual, due to both fuzzy language, and downright incorrect information. Also, check out this video, it seemed to help me with some of the confusion.

And one last note... if you are like me, you may have had the wrong expectations when you bought the device. I figured I could open the software, change some values, save them, and work from there. Once you modify most of the settings, they are what they are. Hard to find that exact value again (unless I am still missing something).
