Topic: Major Voicetone Correct XT Power Problems

So I just picked up a Voicetone Correct XT and was playing around with it.  It sounds great.  But when I tried to pick up the unit and move it closer to me the power surged and popped loud in the PA and kept popping until I put it down.  I noticed it was due to the power connector being loose on the back of the unit where it plugs into the unit.  I couldn't move the unit at all without the plug creating all kinds of noise and the unit powering down for a second.

Why is TC using such poor power supplies for this unit.  It's a great sounding unit but I'm going to have to return it because it's unusable if it has to be under glass while on stage.

Anyone else having this problem?  I'm hoping it's just a defective unit and I can replace it.

Re: Major Voicetone Correct XT Power Problems

One thing I'd like to add is that I read reviews of some of the other Voicetone products that complained of the power supply being loose and having the unit shut off on them.  I was hoping this wouldn't be the case with mine, but possibly this is a bigger issue than just mine.

Re: Major Voicetone Correct XT Power Problems

The power supply on my create xt is not loose, it does not make noise if you move the unit.

Hiya Johnny5,

The issue you're describing definitely doesn't sound right to me. If you just bought it, I'd get back in touch with either your dealer or TC-Helicon's support department ( www.tc-helicon.com/support.asp ) ASAP.

Best wishes,

Joey
