Topic: Faulty Footswitch

I just bought a Harmony-G XT, and I'm wondering if my device has a faulty On switch. When I press the button, it doesn't seems to work all the time. Should the On light turn on and off every time I push the button? Thanks for any info you can share.

Re: Faulty Footswitch

Hi Joe,

As far as I know, there isn't a mode that would make the button fail to turn the effect on/off on each press. If it's brand new, I'd take it back to the store and see if they have another one you can compare it to. That way, you'd be able to tell for sure if it's got a faulty switch and change it out for a new one on the spot.

Cheers,
Craig

Re: Faulty Footswitch

Craig,

I've been watching tutorial videos. It's definitely a faulty On switch. When I cut power, disconnect all the cords, reconnect them and apply power, the On button does not work. I mail-ordered it, which means mailing it somewhere and not having it for who knows how long. I'm not happy. I hope someone at TC Helicon can help me. Thanks.

Re: Faulty Footswitch

Hi Joe,

That's too bad that you got a unit with a faulty button. Either swapping it with the place you bought it or sending it to TC will take some time. If you contact support, they can give you an idea of how long a swap might take and then you can decide whether returning it to the mail order place or doing it via TC will be better for you.

Sorry that your first experience with the G-XT wasn't stellar. It is a pretty awesome pedal, so I hope you get to take advantage of it soon!

Craig,

Based on the short time I've had it, I know I'll love this thing. But it's got to work properly! I know that's not asking too much. Thanks for the info.
