Topic: VLT output level adjustable?

What level is actually coming out of a VLT? And, is it adjustable/switcahabel via menu somewhere? I couldn't find any mention in the manual but that'd be no surprise - TC thinks the VLT is a looper with side effect, right ;-)

Anybody knows about them levels? thanks, K

Re: VLT output level adjustable?

I think  the level control is  on the right side next to the headphone volume??

Re: VLT output level adjustable?

I see a headphone output pot there and a mic gain input pot....?

Re: VLT output level adjustable?

Output range according to the spec is 14.5 dBu. The "Level" knob would appear to control both the main output level as well as the headphones. Have you tried tweaking the Level control to see if it changes the output?

Re: VLT output level adjustable?

Ahh, I haven't tried that ;-)  I'll report back. And thanks for the 14.5 dBu number.

Who would have figured?  Now that is good to know!

Re: VLT output level adjustable?

Don't forget the advanced menu master output option.  Many of us had to locate that early on due to the loud hiss from the XLR on factory settings.  I think Joey recommended -20db but I went -10db  The 1/4" output isn't as hot / noisy but if you switch back and forth between XLR and 1/4" you will likely need to tweak that adv menu setting often.

I know that's not specifically what the OP referenced but I was asking myself the same question the first time I plugged an XLR line out of the VLT.

Re: VLT output level adjustable?

Do you use on stage the stereo 1/4" or mono XLR?

Re: VLT output level adjustable?

I set the output from stereo to dual mono and the hiss disappeared.
