Re: Voicelive Touch user discussion

still hoping to be able to adjust the delay feedback. I use the delay on my mixing board's built in fx instead. the vlt delay is just too saturated and goes on forever.

I am taking mine into rehearsals this week. I still think it is needed for some stuff, us old farts don't like singing those really high notes any more hehe

Your welcome, hope that helps.
Seems like the blind leading the blind based on the number of posting between the two of us!  Nevertheless, Mastering the menu system in this little box is mission #1.

Re: Voicelive Touch user discussion

Hello all VLT users.  I'd like to add my two cents about the Aux level not staying at the level I put it at like all the other Mix settings, if the power is turned off it always goes back to -25 or something close to it?  I've forgotten to turn it off a few times now and it's so annoying to get the double playback(only using VLT Aux for harmony cues).  Anybody know why it needs to reset, how bout you guys and gals at TC Helicon, any ideas?  Thanks

Re: Voicelive Touch user discussion

Hi mikek1968,

I tested the Aux level resetting on my Touch at the office and you're absolutely right that it's resetting. That shouldn't be the case.

I've put the bug into the system for the engineers to address in the next update. I don't have an ETA on the update, but everyone's aware of the bug now.

Thanks!

Craig

Re: Voicelive Touch user discussion

Thats great Craig, Thanks!

Hello Mamalakaboooodae, I too have had problems finding that perfect one slap, quick decaying delay on my VLT but I have a few ideas for ya.  A lot of the presets have some nice custom delays different from the delay block's edit section.  Just disable the blocks of the preset except the delay, turn down the level in the edit section a bit and you should find one or two that will work for what you need.  One last quick reminder is a lot of the delays are tempo controlled so the tempo should be set to get the best out of that effect in my opinion.

Try this one;
Preset #26 Simple Slap (go into the delay block edit section)
Level set to -19 db
Lead level set to 0 db
Width set to 100%
Maybe try adding a little reverb to smooth it out...

I hope this helps and have fun experimenting,
Mike

Re: Voicelive Touch user discussion

Thanks Mike

I threw a little fit and had to step away from the forum for a bit.  I do appreciate the answer though.  I do use the width on mono which seems to kill 1-2 of the feedback cycles.  I can get the VLT to sound like it's a 3-5 range by tweaking the level and width.  If the rest of the band is playing I can usually pull it off.   If it's a capella, no way.   : (  My VLT and I have reached a comfortable compromise although I would welcome future logical updates.

I really do love it and get many compliments and questions after a performance.

For those of you also fighting the XLR hiss,  I started using the headphone line output at practice.  I don't think it has the same noise or output reset issues the main outs have.

sigh - I'm back,  beating a dead horse.

I tried all great tricks mentioned here to get a simple 1-2 feedback delay.  I've resorted to using my guitar digital delay pedal.

Anybody have any luck with a simple delay?  I can't believe TC wouldn't offer this as a preset...  it must be some combination of delay level with the right style.

To TC team...   seriously..   who would use 8+ delay regens in a performance?   lol  Give us a feedback control please.  I'll post it to the suggestion as Joey recommends but I still believe I'm just missing somethin here.   ; P

Hiya Mamalakaboobooae,

Right now, Delay time is set through tapping (tap tempo). There is no adjustable feedback parameter in VoiceLive Touch currently. The styles are what they are. However, I can confirm this feature is indeed on the wishlist for a future update which should be with us very soon, so don't despair smile.

Best wishes,

Joey

Joey when will this update be? This was extremely dissapointing to me as well and I logged on today to see if an updat has come out but sadly no....what is the eta?
