Topic: VoiceTone Correct and Create XT vs Singles

I looked through the forum and didn't find a good answer, so I'll post  now.

When considering purchasing the combo pedals vs singles, is there anything specific I should be considering?  One of the features of the Correct XT that seems like it would be perfect is the Anti-Feedback module, which from what I can see is only available in this product.  I'm a little surprised it isn't in the VL2 or even a single (unless I missed it).  It also seems from threads that the detune/doubling isn't there in the Create XT.

Otherwise, are the singles more configurable/tweakable or are they the same just broken into separate pedals?

I am playing in a tribute band for Deftones and I have a small practice space where feedback is an issue at the volume required to emulate the screams without hurting my voice.

I think I'd get use out of almost all of the features of both the Create and Correct, but I'd hate to sacrifice configurability if that's what's at stake.

Thanks in advance!

Bump for some info.

Is there a presales page or email or something if no one has this info?  Very interested, but it seems difficult to get answers.

Re: VoiceTone Correct and Create XT vs Singles

Hi galileo,

Sorry for the delayed response, I've been out of the office with the flu for a week.

You're right that the Correct XT is the only unit with Anti-Feedback. The Anti-Feedback processing takes up a full core (out of the 2 in the unit) since the calculations are so intense. We can't put it in other products based on our current technology, but it's something we'd like to work on adding to future products as more processing becomes accessible to us.

For combo vs. singles, it's really up to how you want to use the gear. Singles are more difficult to bend down and adjust during a show, so I recommend them for people who want to achieve a more "overall" sound, obviously with the ability to turn anything on/off at will.

Most of the combo and multi effect units can be set up with presets that can be recalled later, which appeals to a different user than the singles setup. The sometimes take more setup time, to get your presets dialed in, but then are quick to move from sound to sound.

Hope that helps!
Craig

Re: VoiceTone Correct and Create XT vs Singles

Thanks Craig.

I'm having trouble deciding between Correct + Create or something like a VL2.  The main driver toward Correct has got to be the anti-feedback, but given that I could add distortion while keeping the mic gain lower, it might be moot.

If looping wasn't a huge issue, would you still suggest VL2 OR THE C/C XT combo?

Thanks again. Hope you're feeling better.

Re: VoiceTone Correct and Create XT vs Singles

Well, for better or for worse, I ended up buying the Correct XT and Create XT.  I'm hoping to knock out some of the feedback from the mic and pull the vocals away from the mix.  If I like these, maybe I'll get the Harmony G-XT later for use on my acoustic material.

Sounds great galileo!

Have fun with the new stuff smile

Re: VoiceTone Correct and Create XT vs Singles

correct xt seems to be the most logical choice based on feedback issues.

personally i love my create xt pedal and all the dif presets.
im not sure i would enjoy manually changing my sound constantly with the singles rather than tapping/calling up my preset, but the singles do look appealing.

but im actually pretty satisfied with my create, harmony gxt and synth pedals.

fwiw the synth gives crazy feedback. gotta keep dialing it down.

but yeah, for you the correct sounds like its your most viable option.
