Topic: Best option for hardtune and correction

Hi, I've been looking to purchase one or two voice tone pedals.

I'd like to know what is the best option for me. I want to add to my voice in live some correction, I know I can do this with Correct XT, but I don't know if Create XT can. In Live I'll be using the hardtune effect and I don't know if there is some possibility to change from correct effect to hardtune or I need two pedals for this. The C1 one would be perfect, but I cannot change the effect with a foot tap. If I could change with the control button in TC Helicon Mic would be incredible.

Then, like secondary options, I would like to have some octave up or down at the same time I listen to my voice. But this is secondary like the delay, some tone (comp, EQ and DeEsser) or anti-feedback.

Thank you very much!! And I hope my english be understandable and not so difficult to answer.

Bye!!!

Re: Best option for hardtune and correction

Hi Teotune,

You can use the MP-75 to turn on and off any of our Singles pedals, including the C1, but it can't send "adjustments" to controls.

The Create XT has limited HardTune functions within its Tone control, but it's not as robust as the Correct XT in that area.

Cheers,
Craig

Re: Best option for hardtune and correction

Thank you!! So, do you think I'll be ok if I go for the Create XT and the MP-75 to switch on/off the hardtune effect? Or I'll need a second pedal? I wouldn't like if I turn off the hardtune, the others effects to turn off too. I wish I could keep on with the other effects or a correction tone.

Re: Best option for hardtune and correction

Hi Teotune,

The Tone function on the Create XT isn't something that can be activated/deactivated by the MP-75, just the on/off of the effect block (Reverbs/Delays etc). Sorry if I was unclear on that.

You might want to look at a CreateXT for your spatial effects and a C1 for HardTune, if you want ON/OFF control from the MP-75 for the HardTune.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Re: Best option for hardtune and correction

Thank you!! One question more. Does the Create XT have any feature to stay in tune or any correction, just a bit to perfect the melodies in live. Perhaps the C1 could do this and use the hardtune in the Create XT. Or better the Correct XT to correct the tune and then the Create XT for the Hardtune?

Re: Best option for hardtune and correction

I've just seen the Voicelive Play, would it be enough for doing everything I wrote above?

Re: Best option for hardtune and correction

the play looks cool.

personally for hard tune i go to my voicetone synth pedal.
i get more control with that.

the creat xt does good when i cover foster the people at gigs tho, cause i like the reverb effects as well.

Re: Best option for hardtune and correction

Teo,

Yep the Play is a great new unit. It's different than the VoiceTone line and more graphical in nature, but that may be exactly what you're looking for.

Play is preset based, so you'd need to set stuff up in advance, which is awesome for some users and not so much for others. Some folks like to have FX buttons available for on-the-fly adjustments. I lean the other way and like to set up presets for my songs and then just navigate through them. It's really personal choice on that front.

Cheers,
Craig
