Topic: Voicelive touch And protools
Hi guys! I'm having a some truble with my voicelive touch. I have the baby protools, protools essentials 16 track. It's not the best but it's all I need to put a solid song together. I hook up my mic to my voicelive and the sounds and effects I get in my headphones are phenomenal and spot on. The down side is if I record it and play it back it is completely lack-luster. What I hear in my headphones is what I want, what I actualy here after the recording is just bad. I got the voicelive because I'm not the best singer, but I can't find the band mates to articulate my music as I hear it in my head. I turn up the effects on the voicelive to compensate for the lost in translation between the mixer and the computer. This just makes for a muddy faded sound behinde a clean vocal track. So I just can't convey the sound from point A to point B. I will try to hook up speakers to the voicelive and record the tracks using another mic directly into the mixer and see if that helps the dilution of the effects. All in all if I had it running through a p.a system I would sound great, however the effects get lost if I record it through protools. need help
