Topic: Loop and record

Hey! I ve purchased the Voice Live Touch a month ago and it´s great. The only thing is that the 30 seconds for looping are really short for some things I wanna loop. Regarding this I have 2 questions.
I can get a Boss Loop Station where I can record up to 16 mins of music or more, is it possible to connect both things so that when I loop the Boos Loop Station loops my voice with the effects that I set up on my Voice Live Touch.
The other question is if there is any software that records what I sing on my VoiceLive Touch directly via usb? If this can´t be done, how can I record on my computer? Do you reccomend any particular software?
Thanks!!!!!

Re: Loop and record

Hi mjimena_silva,

You can turn off Undo for looping and double the time if you'd like. It's in the manual www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicelive-touch/support/

I have seen other folks use TC-H gear with the loopstation, but I'm not familiar with the product myself. Perhaps someone else has some hands on experience?

For USB recording, any program that can use USB for input can record the VL-Touch. Lots of people like Audacity, because it's free. It's not the prettiest software out there, but for simple stereo recording it might work well for you.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Check out the user manual for how to get a USB device going in Audacity. Also, make sure that your Touch is set to USB Stereo, also in the manual.

Cheers,
Craig

Re: Loop and record

@Craig

Can the loop station and the Voicelive Touch be synced together somehow?

I just bought the Touch and I own the Boss 50.   I, too, want to know if they can synch.
Thanks in advance...

Re: Loop and record

You might find this (free) software interesting.  http://www.circularlabs.com/

I might ne inclined to use an analog input on an interface rather than USB only because it makes using a daw simpler than trying to work with multiple interfaces (the VLT looks like an interface in USB mode). That said, if you are *just* using the VLY, you could readily go digital.

Re: Loop and record

@Craig
Great! I' m checking out circularlabs right now.
About the Undo option....mmm...I use it a lot! Let's just say my looping skills cannot go without the Undo yet. If I erase the Undo it will be permanent I supose?
I saw a post about using Garageband to record so I will try that option and audacity with my Windows computer.
Thanks a lot!!!!!

Hi! Please let me know if you ve managed to synch your loop station with VLT....I am really interested to know if this can be done. To have the great effects and presets of the VLT plus the looping options of Boss 50. Thanks!

Re: Loop and record

You can't sync the VLT looper with anything.

About the Undo- it just takes a second to switch in on or off, it isn't a permanent change in any way...
