Topic: Create and Correct at rehearsal
I used these pedals last night at rehearsal and they did well.
Correct is awesome. I can't decide whether I like adaptive compression or manual. Both produced good results. I could hear myself clearly on both soft and loud passages (finally!). At 12 o'clock the pitch correction leaves you alone for the most part. Don't go above the 12 o'clock level unless you are going for "that" effect.
With Create I thought that having quick access to only 2 presets at once was going to be limiting but that's about all I use anyway. I know I have access to all ten but it's not a 1-button click. Wouldn't it be great to have an optional breakout box with 10 buttons? There's some good stuff in there. The delays are nice and tap tempo capability is sweet. The distortion/megaphone stuff was either too low or got me feedback so I skipped them for this rehearsal. I'll try them in the days to come. I like the MIX knob. This is so important as effects always sound good with headphones but when you get to rehearsal they sometimes have too much on them. Being able to quickly take some off it is crucial.
Overall I am happy with my purchase. I am going to get Double next as soon as I master these. I am so glad that someone finally created fx for us. I've seen people use guitar effects with XLR-to-1/4" cables and stuff and feedback was always an issue. I was using a Digitech Vocal 300 but that's now in my closet. I still might use it for controlled recordings because of the expression pedal and the weird effects but not for live stuff.
Anyway, just thought I'd give my 2 cents for anybody thinking about buying these.
