Hi Petecalgaro,
Check if the AUX input is set to "OFF" if not used.
Hi Craig,
Actually I've got the acceptabe answer only after I have mentioned the info I've got from you.
Thank you for your help ![]()
Well, now I have the answer from TC Support,
"That behavior is related to the implementation of the "Trails: ON/OFF" feature that was added.
In order to properly truncate the delay trails when "Trails:OFF" is selected, (i.e. if you change presets from one with delay to one without, the delay doesn't carry over) the delay time/feedback is set to zero when the effect turns off.
When you have "Trails:ON" this doesn't happen, as the delay block allows the signal to finish whatever feedback or delay taps are remaining, even when the delay block turns off in the next preset.
If you set "Trails:ON" within the delay effect edit screen, that behavior will disappear and you won't get the * every time you turn delay on/off"
So the reason of this phenomenon is the new parameter called "Trails" in the Delay section. In each preset the default walue of this new parameter is "Off" which is differ from that it was before. So I had to set this parameter to "On" to have the old functioning.
Originally the delay is off, and when I switch it on the asterisk apears. It's normal. And when I switch it off again the asterisk should be disapear, but it remains. I was searching for the reason of it and found some parameters value have changed. These parameters shouldn't be changed by switching off the delay, because if I want to store the preset I store the zero values as well.
If I change the status of any other effect the asterisk apears and remains just as long as I switch it status back.
Hello,
I upgraded my VL2 to the latest 1.4 firmware and now I have a problem using the delay button. When I switch on the delay function there is no problem, but when I switch it off, the delay time and the value of the feedback parameter changes to zero. Also the edit asterisk apears on the name of the preset, noticing the preset has been changed.
Any idea what could be the reason of this?
Hi Carlos,
I had the same problem after upgrading the system software to the latest version.
There was an annoying computer-like noise if I set the output to Line+12, and stereo. In double mono mode it was quiet.
The reason of the problem was the unused AUX input level set to 0dB.
Be sure if the Aux input is not used the AUX LEVEL value in the Setup menu I/O tab is set to "OFF".
All the best
Ferenc

Since I don't use the AUX input I set it to "OFF" from "0dB".
Now the unit is quiet.
