Deviated Septum

im gettin mixed results over the internet, i've read that if it is sinus issues it is not neccesary. but my concern has not been answerd, my voice sounds clouded and whiney. i can feel that the problem is in my nasel area. i have a pretty bad deviated septum, could it be causing this? im a guitarist so it's not that big of a deal but im picked first for back up vocals, and the last thing i want is to be known as the whiney guy in the back -_-
