Hi! I'm Matt, and I'm a VoiceLive 2-aholic...

Hi! I'm Matt Newby. I'm a worship leader, guitarist, bassist, and quite a few other instruments-ist.  I just got a VL2 a couple weeks ago, and have been REALLY enjoying it. I've been using it with my Carvin Cobalt C850 acoustic guitar to add harmonies when our backup vocals are thin (either singing solo or with one other voice).

I've been a musician since starting out on violin and viola in grade school, and singing with my high school church youth group. I picked up the guitar when I got to college, and became the worship coordinator with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship while there. I've been either leading worship or part of a worship band (or both) for the past 20+ years.

Recently, I picked up a Line6 Variax 500 electric modeling guitar and have been using it with a Line6 POD X3Live pedalboard. I'm still working on getting it configured properly for use with the VL2 -- there's a lot of options on ways to get 'em plugged in. The Variax has a specialized data cable between it and the pedal, so it's not possible to run the signal directly from the guitar to the VL2; it's gotta go through the X3Live first.

I'm looking to land on a few presets that work well with the style of worship music I sing (David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, other Passion artists, Jesus Culture, etc.), so that the harmonies and doubling enhance corporate worship, rather than being a distraction.
