Restricting the range of usb condenser mic

I've just bought an AT2020 USB Condenser Mic for VO at home, unfortunately it is picking up alot more unwanted noise than I expected. Is there any way to shorten the range of the mic so that it only picks up my vocals right next to the mic? Any help would be greatfully received
