Hola' amigos

Just joined the forum. I belong to and am a moderator on many remote control car forums. This forum should save me emailing a lot of questions.

I used to gig the bars but left the scene back in the 80's. Life brings changes, sometimes unexpectedly. I'm old school and love harmonies but I have found that it seems less and less musicians I jammed with as time went by, did any vocals. to me it's like playing one note on the guitar. So I've been a garage recluse with my guitars for many years just tinkering... mostly my hobby shifted to remote control cars...

I live in a 40 unit complex and happened to notice a fella my age carrying a guitar. we got to talking and decided to use our common building (meeting room) to do a little jamming. we seemed to hit it off. 2 days later our maintenance guy was over and said he was a drummer. pretty good too. well I went and bought a bass and amp, since I used to play bass in the bars anyway, and we had ourselves a 3 pce. a couple different people came by to jam but it still seemed to lack vocals so we were limited.

I tried out my digitech guitar pedal combo and it worked but the input/output wasn't designed for vocals long story short, I needed something else. I went off to long and mcquade's website and looked around... wow, fx sure has come a long way since I was playing (I also took 2 yrs of studio engineering at columbia academy)... anyway. I went in and asked a lot of questions, and the cheaper models that had guitars or keyboards plugged in either wouldn't track with a bass, or wouldn't function for harmony without the instrument signal present...

the rep said, hey we just got these in, the voice live touch, and it just got setup on the stand a couple hours ago but haven't even played with it... we went and diddled around and well I bought it... that night I decided to try plugging the bass in and it works awesome with the bass. even parts where there is no instrument present, I can finger a really soft note barely audible and it still tracks the harmonies... I love this thing. I started practicing eagles, and even doing some queen now because this thing can handle it. by far the coolest toy I have ever played with, including remote control helicopters

My love of performing has come back. I am 47 and going to go back gigging again soon. Thanks TC for opening a door for me that has been closed for many years.
