Quick update...
Good news. Guitar Center is arranging to take my current unit back and will ship me a replacement...at no charge. It will take a few weeks for everything to sort itself out. They will also take care of any brokerage fees or extra duties/taxes I incur as a result of shipping from the US to Canada. Not too shabby.
The other good news is that TC is updating their Voice Support tool to prevent VoiceLive 2 Extreme owners from downloading firmware updates intended for the regular VL2 product. Not sure if that has been implemented yet...but they seemed pretty responsive.
