Hiya tesla22,
If you are looking to create harmonies from keyboard and guitar at seperate times on the same unit then it may be worth checking out the VoiceLive Touch or VoiceLive 2 as they will give you great results with both instruments. Also, the VoiceLive Touch and VoiceLive 2 have MIDI capabilities as well as the “Aux Input” which allows you to feed any stereo audio source to the unit for harmony generation.
The Harmony-G XT may work for the purpose you’ve described but we cannot guarantee results for a few reasons:
– You would only be able to send a mono signal to the instrument input of Harmony-G XT as opposed to your keyboards stereo output.
– The input impedance on the Harmony-G XT is specifically designed for guitar.
However, you can still use the Harmony-G XT in manual mode which allows you to set a key and scale for harmonies. This means that you don’t need to have an instrument connected at all.
Hope this helps!
Best wishes,
Joey
