Can you not just sing into this device and have it output several harmonies based on the notes you are singing?

Hiya Olias,

You'd need to set a Key and Scale using manual mode on the Harmony-G XT if you intend to not use a guitar to trigger the harmony voices.

Hiya Olias,

Yes, this is true with all TC-Helicon products that contain harmony.

Basically, there needs to be some reference to where the harmonies should fit so that they make sense within the song you are singing. With any given note that you sing there are many options for what the harmony could be - this is why a reference is needed.

What are the actual scales stored in the Harmony G XT? Unfortunately they are not listed in the manual.
