Topic: Need serious help please (Newbie)

I need help please. I do not play an instrument or use a midi keyboard. I bought this hardware to have back up voices when i am singing. I use this on my computer with a USB plug from my mixer to the computer. Is the Voiceworks plus the best product for what I am doing? Second can I delete a pre-set from the factory because there are 40 presets or more that I cannot use. Also can I covert all the presets like notes and chord pre-sets to shift or chorus or something and be able to use all the banks? Don't mean to take a advantage of the forum but I really need someones help or I will have to return it for a refund. Also I am using a Behringer 2442 USB mixer and I notice the red light peaks red on most of my pre-sets. Also I am running the Left and Right out from the VLP to the line in on the mixer and the line in on the VLP to the Aux 1 input. Also there are some preseets on the voiceworks (not the plus) that I liked when I owned it. How can I get the preset instructions to add them to my Plus? I have called T.C. Helicon support 6 days in a row. I keep getting a voice message saying that I think Troy will call me. They have not called me once or followed up on me. I can see that I am not seeing a care about the customer attitude from their tecnical division and the receptionist who routes me to their office always says they are meetings. Terrible product support. However I have never had to call them for any of my previous products so I don't know if this is a one time occurence.

I sincerely thank the forum for helping me.

Thank You Thank You

Hiya Jaye,

Whilst the Voiceworks Plus is a great choice it may be worth mentioning that the VoiceLive 2 and VoiceLive Touch both contain the possibility to record directly to your computer via USB. That being said, there are some fantastic features in the product you currently have and as you are using your mixer via USB you may be happy with the options this gives you.As you aren't playing guitar or keyboard, I presume you will be using the Key / Scale option to generate your harmonies.

In regards to saving presets - VoiceWorks Plus will allow you to save a modified preset to one of the 100 user locations only. You can modify any of the existing presets and then follow the instructions in the manual to store it to a user location.

With your set-up, I would probably suggest that you contact support by mail about this via the following link:

However, do make sure that you are running the outputs into line inputs (not mic level).

There is also the question of how you wish to run the unit. In general, the preamp on VoiceWorks Plus is extremely good and could be used in preference to the one on your Behringer mixer. However, if you wish to use the VoiceWorks Plus in an Aux Send I would recommend that you have a look at the video below to check that this is correct:

Unfortunately there is no way of importing VoiceWorks presets into Voiceworks Plus.

Hope I've helped a bit. Sorry to hear you have been having trouble contacting support but I believe the best way to do this is by mailing via the link I gave you previously.

Please do let us know how you get on.

Best wishes,

Joey
