Topic: SETUP Question

Here is a question i submitted to Support, maybe someone here is
faster in helping me:


i bought the VoiceLive 2 and have yet not had the Chance to use it in a Stage / Sound invironment.
I Will be using the function Harmonies with a MP3 Player

Here is my Question.
When i play my Karaoke Song into the VoiceLIve2   and have the OUTPUT connected to
a PA System, will the Outoput ONLY be the "Voice from the Mic with the effect" or will the
Music that i will FEED into the  MP3Input be patched through.

Of course i need the MUSIC and VOICE seperated  so that i can MIX it

Hiya DRABOCOM,

This is entirely dependant on your setup.

If you want to hear the music you are running through the AUX input aswell as the vocal then you will need to turn up the AUX level accordingly.

However, if you just want to hear the vocal from the VoiceLive 2 and mix the music seperately I would suggest turing the AUX level to off and sending the same audio signal (music) to a seperate channel on your mixer.

I use my VL2 for karaoke and split the aux signal from an iPad - one patch goes into the VL2 with aux level set to 0 to drive harmonies and correction and one patch goes to the mixer, works great.
