Can someone please explain Freddie Mercury's voice to me?

Hi guys, ive long been an admire of the late freddie mercury, his voice was just so amazing and unique. Im wondering if someone can explain the technical details about his vocals?

Like how did he make his voice sound really clean, and clear in the high notes? Watch this video of him singing (is this the world we creatd). Watch at 1:08.

How would one go about attaining that kind of quality? Is it even possible, or just unique to him?
