Topic: Chad Kroeger

Hi

Was wondering if anyone knows who Chad Kroeger received vocal training from. The difference in his range and tone from the first Nickelback album to now is astonishing. He's able to get that grit in his voice too night after night on tour. The singer from my band is looking to develop this tone in his voice as he can hit it fine but it burns out his vocal chords after one song

Maybe something like Melissa Cross exercises can help.
Singing from the mask works to get heat on the voice, but possibly your singer needs more practice and some warm up exercises to sing more than one song in this way.
