Topic: EV767a vs. Sennheiser 945e ??

Any  input?  Looking at both those mics ...I'm a vocalist for a melodic heavy progressive rock band. I do minimal screaming but looking for good feedback noise rejection... Ive heard great things about both these mics and was wondering what others opinions were.  The Sennheiser is obviously more expensive , other then that  For hard rock vocals ... where would you put your money and what are the major differences between these to mics?

Re: EV767a vs. Sennheiser 945e ??

Hi i have a few mics and the ev and sennheiser make up a few of them, the nd767a is a good mic against feedback and has good projection. The 945 has a more hifi sound and a sweeter top end, not as good at feedback rejection but a very smooth sound. The nd767a also has the most bass lift of the two when you get close up, infact it has the biggest proximity effect of any dynamic vocal mic ive ever heard. Something to watch out for depending on your voice, for me i use the 945 for the softer stuff and the ev for the louder rock.

If not the TC MP70 then the EV767 or an Audix OM7 are the holy trinity!

I've never used S945... altough I heard good things about it.

I love my Ev 767 and I think it's great for heavy and prog rock. But I can't compare with the other one
