Topic: Sysex manual

Hello!

You did achieve a great product with vl2 - I have a voiceworks and I think that it has greatly improved, mostly with the harmonies. The chord pitch recognition in real time is otherworldy. Congrats!

That being said, I post this to BEG for the sysex manual... or if you don't have it at least is there a way to control eq settings with CC?  or with sysex?

Please?

The CC's are in the manual.

On the midi track that I use to control the harmonies I add CC 85 to control the volume of the voices, works good.

Yes, yes but as you may have noticed, you can only turn the global tone off or on with cc control - what I need is to control the eq parameters - ie gain, low freq, hih freq, q etc from midi.

There's no cc configured to control this in the manual and I do not believe will ever be. On the other side, since the (future) editor program will probably be able to control this it will do it using sysex messages. This is the way that it was done with voice live 1 editor.

I surely could use a copy also.  I've been trying to accomplish this for quite some time now with no luck.  Maybe the sysex manual could be the answer to my nightmare.

Most any other piece of gear I have has the sysex information included in the documentation, either in the main user manual or as a separate sysex guide unto itself. Does TC-Helicon not release this info due to changing firmware updates or some other reason?

Hi Mark,

The main reason the sysex manuals aren't released is, as far as I know, support related. We don't have the resources to support the much more complicated inquiries that can come from those operations. We release the sysex manuals with the caveat:

“Making use of MIDI SYSEX specification requires technical knowledge. TC-Helicon does not offer support or maintenance for the information included in its SYSEX specifications.”

I'll definitely send both you and bullseye101d a copy via the email address you signed up to the forums with.
