Topic: voicejam on iphone into amp/p.a.

i'm trying to use voicejam for live performance, but have some amplification problems.  out of my iphone headphone jack my line out goes to amp, and i use the built-in mic on iphone to record (since i can no longer plug in a mic to the headphone jack).  but i cannot get very loud before feedback occurs, no matter where i stand.  it may be the amp - a little roland microcube.  but i run other things through it and they're fine.
i also tried to use a headphone jack splitter to plug in a mic and have a line out at the same time, but that doesn't work (external mic does not work with a splitter).
i did notice that i could turn the amp up louder (but not very loud) if my voicejam output signal was stronger (by holding mic closer to my mouth).
i'm trying to make it work with the iphone and the tiny amp so i can do street performance and have minimal gear.
any ideas?

actually, i've discovered a partial solution - turning "mic to headphones" off in the wrench box (and mic mute off).  this seems to be most of the problem.  still not a great-sounding signal out, but i am using a roland microcube, which certainly has its limitations.

Heya musicglenn,

Yeah, in general the app is designed to be used with headphones, to prevent exactly what you're experiencing. I'm glad you've found a way to make it work for you smile

another possibly even better solution - is there any way to send the signal from iphone to amp without a cable?  bluetooth?  i don't know much about that.
this would be ideal since then i could get much further from the amp and also move around much more.
