Topic: Having routing issues with VoiceWorks and ProTools LE 8.4.2
Good day all, I have recently acquired and finally connected a VoiceWorks (VW) to my Digi 003 interface and protools (PT).
I have recorded a song at 44.1 khz and am now attempting to add harmony vocals using the VoiceWorks. This was 2 days ago, and have yet to achieve success. Among others here are the steps I've followed so far.
connected the 2 boxes (the VW and digi 003) with s/pdif.
In protools assign the prerecorded vocal output to s/pdif, and input for harmony track to s/pdif.
Set Harmony track to record.
start playback and I see the green LEDs indicating input signal on the VW
no sound nor level indicators in pro tools. so not input on the harmony track to be recorded.
from the setup in the VW raise output level, and begin to see the output clip LED on VW, lower output level on VW until clip led disappears. Still no input on track to be recorded.
Check PT's input output setup, s/pdif is configured correctly on both the input and the output tabs.
Connect a different effects box to the s/pdif of the digi 003, works perfectly.
Connect balanced audio outs to VW and Digi 003, reset input for the harmony recording track to analog 5/6
Check VW setup output is stereo and PT input for recrding track is stereo.
Ran an electronic search on the terms s/pdif and output on the VW electronic users manual, found nothing regarding enabling s/pdif nor other output level adjustments beyong individual harmony voices and all harmony voices which I proved could cause clipping.
Still no insights as to why no sound is coming to my sequencer software.
I apologize in advance for most likely a Noob failure, but I have worked long and hard on this already with no success. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide me.
