Topic: Problem with guitar loops (Voicelive 2)

I just bought a Voicelive 2 and I am trying to create guitar loops and it does not work. I am able to create vocal loops with my microphone but not with my guitar. I can hear my guitar while playing but no sound is recorded when I press play. What am I doing wrong? Is there any settings that I forgot about?  Thank you.

It is described on pg 91 in the manual and here is a video. I am not sure what play button you are referring to:
