Topic: VoiceSupport Troubleshooting help (Mac)
I'm having trouble, and wondering if anyone else has had this same issue. I did a quick search to see if this is a known issue, but didn't come up with much. Here's what I've tried to get VoiceSupport to recognize the Voicelive Touch.
(BTW: I've downloaded Voicelive from both the CD that came with the unit, and also downloaded it directly from the site, hoping it was a software update issue, but they ended up being the exact same version. The disc didn't say which version it was, so I couldn't really tell until I had tried them both. I'm using a Mac running OS X 10.7.2, which might be my problem, since on the support page, they recommend using 0S X 10.6, but it doesn't say "or higher". My WiFi is working fine.)
-Plugged in the Voicelive Touch, plugged in the USB cable, loaded VoiceSupport, clicked the "h", clicked on "manage", went to "scan for devices", and repeatedly had no luck getting the software to recognize Voicelive.
-Restarted my computer, repeated above.
-Did all of the quick start book trouble shooting. (Closed every app that could be interfering with the recognition process.)
-Downloaded the VoiceSupport manual from
http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voic … t/support/
Went through all of the suggestions there, to no avail. They were as follows:
There are several steps you can take if your product is not recognized by VoiceSupport.
1. Confirm you have an internet connection (VoiceSupport will tell you on startup if you are not connected).
2. Try re-scanning by pressing the Control Button, then select Manage, then click Scan for Devices.
3. If your device still isn't recognized press the Control Button, then select manage, then click Show MIDI Devices. If the product is in the list, try restarting VoiceSupport.
4. If your device is not in the list, navigate into your Operating System to find what devices are connected. If your device is not connected, try disconnecting power and USB to the device, and then reconnecting.
If none of these steps rectify the problem, contact support www.tc-helicon.com/support
That last URL is where I got the manual from, but I went back there for more ideas, which led me here.
Other than what I've done (in addition to attempting to run it through a midi to USB cable, to see if it would show up as a MIDI device, since it seemed to see every MIDI and MIDI capable device on my computer...some I didn't even remember I had.), does anyone have any ideas for me? It looks like a great tool to get more out of the Voicelive Touch, and I'd love to have presets available if my OS is compatible.
Thanks!
Holly
