Topic: can't store presets!!!!!!

I don't know if I have picked up a faulty unit but I have updated firmware to 348. reset factory init. It appears to be inconsistent regarding storing modified presets to favourites. Im pressing and holding - it sometimes reads stored and stops flashing but when I move to another favourite button and go back its no longer there!  Is it me or is it the unit?

Also amazed to see you can't roll off top on the effect presets in their individual menus- I believe this is possible on XT products which are cheaper....

Re: can't store presets!!!!!!

Hi PTuser,

The most recent firmware for the Touch is build 367. Did you grab the latest version of VoiceSupport from the website before doing the update?

Cheers,
Craig

Re: can't store presets!!!!!!

I am having the same trouble with saving preset edits to favorites.  Every time I change the Harmony key in one favorite (ie. - Key of G) it changes the key in other favorites as well.  I had planned to use the different favorites for key changes but I have to manually change it every time I want a different key.  Other edits that I save to favorites seem to save correctly, only the key is giving me problems.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: can't store presets!!!!!!

Hi,

Have you by any chance turned on Global Key change in Setup, as this would effect what you are doing.

Re: can't store presets!!!!!!

Yes it did fix it!  I had seen something about global and switched it off.  Then I was able to save my favorites in different keys.  Thanks so much for your help.  This has been a little confusing to get going but I think I've about got it.  It took me a while to figure out how to work with the different banks...but persistence paid off.  I'm going to use it tonight at a gig so I'll see how it works.

Re: can't store presets!!!!!!

Your Welcome and Good luck with the Gig.

A Few little pointers, if your not using the aux for input, it is best to turn the aux mix to off, aswell as the usb to off if not being used in your main mix. make sure the Mic gain is never too high to a point where the clip light appears, as this will cause problems.

If your mixer allows stereo input then use stereo out, if mixer does not allow, then set to dual mono, vocals only come out of one of the vlt out,  and instruments etc go to other channel.

Harmonies can cause issues if it is not receiving a clean signal, so if you get odd sounds with harmonies be prepaired to turn off harmonies until you can resolve the issues normally down to microphone or placement of monitor speakers and band memeber..

Anyway

good luck, hope you enjoy.
