Topic: No Mic

Hello.

I think this topic has been discussed before, has it been resolved?

During my song the mic just stopped. When rebooted the VLT there was no mic until

I turned the volume to maximum when it made an incredible noise and the mic was

back. Five minutes later it did it again. It has not happened since.

What's up? Anyone Know?

Cheers Jim.

Re: No Mic

Hello Jimo,
I too was having problems with my Voicelive Touch losing the vocal signal in the middle of a set, when I turned the unit off and on, the vocals did return.  This is one of the reasons I'm currently getting my VLT repaired.  It defiantly isn't a normal operation and the fact that more people are reporting similar issues makes me fear this is a widespread bug that TC Helicon needs to take a real close look at.  Are you running any MIDI?  I've read wrong MIDI settings can affect the VLT's vocal signal also.

It's always a good idea to get the support crew involved with any problems.

Re: No Mic

Hi Mike.

Yes I do use midi from a yamaha keyboard. I do not know a lot about midi events
I do know that I am only sending the one channel. If it were a midi related problem I would be able to duplicate it, but I have not been unable to do that.

I am hoping that it is a once only occurance as I am in Australia and bought the
unit through Amazon, that makes the warranty complicated.

I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for your reply and the links.

Cheers Jim.

Re: No Mic

I lost master volume when I had my midi guitar input and ended up turning my midi volume down turned off the master volume and created a glitch I couldn't get into the master volume setting without a complete system reset. I had to write CS and they needed to talk to a programming tech before responding because I had stumped them. I just don't bother running midi in anymore and the problem hasn't returned. I actually turned midi off.

Re: No Mic

Hi Pipeous

Yes I find things happening while switching on my Keyboard, not due to faults, just having to find out what midi signals are send and the effects they have.

Huge learning curve.

Cheers Jim.
