Topic: Voicetone Correct XT with Voicelive touch connections

I wish to use correct xt with my VLT for feedback control

Is it best to place correct after of before VLT the final connection will be into my bose L1 compact.

Re: Voicetone Correct XT with Voicelive touch connections

Hi RobbyA,

I'd personally try both, but my gut would say to put the Correct XT first in the signal chain, then turn off any Pitch Corr Amt in the Touch so that you're not using Auto-Chromatic Pitch Correction twice.

The CorrectXT is Mono, so you'd end up losing the ability to use Stereo effects if you put it after the Touch in your chain.

Hi Craig
I didn't consider the issue of double the correction so thanks for that.

I was considering getting the Create XT and getting rid of the Touch  I know i would lose the looping but I dont use it a great deal so probably not much of a loss I do however use the aux in for BTs from my I Pad. I can over come this by using a separate channel on Bose. Not sure which way to go?

Hi RobbyA,

You'd lose the Harmony if you move to CreateXT, which would be the biggest loss in IMHO, but if you don't use them either, then you can probably sell your Touch for enough cash to cover a CreateXT.

If it's a form factor issue, you might want to look at Play or Play GTX if you still want finite control over presets etc. but are moving to a small'ish floor unit. You'd retain Harmony and looping, plus have more control than the CreateXT. That said, some people are looking more towards having a couple of presets they like and sticking with them, which would work well with Create.

My suggestion would be to go into a store and play around with the units for a while and see which feel you like better.

Re: Voicetone Correct XT with Voicelive touch connections

Hi to both.

Sorry to interrupt! I'm having similar problem deciding. I also own a Correct XT and wish to add the effect and harmony function to my setup. I'm a keyboardist so hooking up via midi for harmony would be nice.

I wouldn't be using much of the looping function. And I also look at Voicelive 2 but getting it would probably mean my Correct XT would become useless (since Voicelive 2 would cover every need i suppose?)

Re: Voicetone Correct XT with Voicelive touch connections

Hi Kiwizz,

Yeah the VL2 would definitely replace what the Correct XT does, with a billion more options too. The question would really be whether you're down with the learning curve of a new and deeper device. It can take a while to get to know the VL2 since there's sooo many options. Once you've nailed it, it's super powerful, but can be a bit daunting at the start.

Cheers,
Craig

Re: Voicetone Correct XT with Voicelive touch connections

Thanks Craig for the quick response! If I can bother with another question.

How does the VL2 compared to the VL1 in terms of harmony and effects? I'm sure it does a much better job but I'm not sure if i need all the features it has. From web demos, looks like the VL1 needs more programming in order to get the right harmony as opposed to the VL2. While cheaper unit like the Play or Touch seems to be able to get the harmony right without even plugging in the keyboard or guitar.

I don't live where I can demo one. Buying it would be solely based on YouTube and forums! Thanks again.

Re: Voicetone Correct XT with Voicelive touch connections

After reading a few more posts. I think I'm gonna go with the Touch instead of Play (no midi) or VL2 (too much learning/editing)...

Great company/rep. Keep up the good work!
