Topic: Excitation and VL

I currently use a Voicelive 1 with a BBE Sonic Maximizer.  I added the sonic maximizer because I thought that some excitation would make things sounds better.  The maximizer does bring out the vocal in the mix better.  I was thinking about purchasing the VL2 and whether or not to keep the maximizer.  Has TC Helicon considered using an exciter type effect in any of its effects and if not, why not?

Thanks.

Hiya iroc4christ,

Unfortunately I can't comment as to whether you should still run the BBE unit with VoiceLive 2 as I must admit I haven't tried this combination. However, the adaptive EQ and compression which the "Tone" button enables on the VoiceLive 2 does a lot to increase the quality of your vocal in a mix and it constantly adapts to your voice throughout your performance. As with all these things I can only recommend that you take the time to visit your local dealer and give the VoiceLive 2 a try.....take along your BBE and try that with it too if you like.

Hope this helps!

Best wishes,

Joey
