Topic: Guitar is setting harmonies, but NO GUITAR SOUND is heard
Hi Everyone,
I just got a VoiceLive 2 today and this is my first visit to this forum.
The vocal effects and harmonies are fantastic. Only one problem: the guitar sound is not working.
I have my guitar plugged into Guitar In, nothing plugged into Guitar Through, and the device is not in bypass/tuner mode. However, although the VL2 is clearly hearing my guitar, I am not hearing it whatsoever. I know the device is hearing my guitar loud and clear because I can tune it using the tuner, and the chords I play are obviously dictating the vocal harmonies.
I have tried listening with headphones, and I've tried listening on my computer via the main outputs. Either way, I hear exactly the same thing: only my vocal and the vocal harmonies, no guitar.
I have turned the Guitar knob in the Mixer all the way up and still no guitar sound at all.
I've tried with both an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar, and either way I get exactly the same result.
The manual says several times that once the guitar is plugged in I should be hearing both the vocals and the guitar, and I should also be hearing the guitar FX because the Guitar FX button is currently lit.
I need to be able to hear my guitar through the headphones while I'm singing. So far, it has been a bit frustrating to follow all the steps carefully and not be able to figure this out.
I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can provide because I'm pretty much stuck at "step 1" until I can get the guitar sound working. I haven't found any discussion of this issue in the troubleshooting part of the online manual ("details") or by doing a Google search.
Thanks,
Ed
