Emma's article reminds me of an old saying -- anything worth doing is worth doing badly . . . at first. So many people try to sing and are so bad they give it up almost immediately not realizing that singing is much like playing a musical instrument-- it takes practice and perseverance to achieve success.

This is a really interesting insight. In a world where we are constantly judged (and judge ourselves) on what we are 'doing' rather than what we are 'trying to do', it's really hard to pat yourself on the back for even attempting to live your goals, dreams and passions. Will have to keep this thought in mind next time someone asks what I'm 'doing' at the moment.
