Most Frustrating…

This week we’re finding out what it is that frustrates you as a vocalist!

Whether it’s band members playing too loud, equipment breaking down, challenges with your own voice or even the work needed to find gigs – we all have something that we find frustrating as vocalists! We’d love to know what it is that irritates you…

So the question is: “What frustrates you as a vocalist?”

We’d love to hear what you think on FaceBook and our Forum!

Great Comments from Last Week:

Last week I asked, “What’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you on a gig?”

This post on our Facebook wall from Lorianne Crolla caught my attention:

“ I sang the wrong chorus in Black Dog and brought the whole band to a grinding halt and then we and the audience laughed like hell!.”

Thanks for getting involved last week. We love hearing what you have to say, so don’t forget to join in this week too!

The most frustrating thing for me is when my range feels tighter than I know it can be. Sometimes I’m not sure if it’s stress or I just haven’t warmed up properly, but it’s a bummer when I can’t get there. Sometimes things just feel tighter than other times.

I sing mostly at church these days and it’s tough to get the same tone and range in the morning that I can at night.

It’s a full rock band and we usually do some mainstream music to open up. For instance, we covered OneRepublic’s Hearing Voices this past Sunday. I try to warmup for about 20 minutes before even leaving the house. We warmup as a group around 9:30 and are singing for real around 10:30.

    Thanks for a great site!
