True - no substitute for fan power! Something else artists may want to try is posting video and lots of it!!! Many clubs now boast the ability to capture HD video and multi-track record off of the board for a nominal price.

If you're a savvy engineer and don't mind splicing the vid yourself you can get away with good media even cheaper. All of these angles and aspects are real and well thought out. Still, if a club owner or venue operator want to know what you're all about, there's nothing like seeing your band perform your songs, to a full house.

This gives real world proof that you are worth your word. Having a stereo mix off of the board or a multi-track mix (even better) allows you to re-engineer the audio to your liking. With good video, a packed floor, a quality sound...what better calling card can you have at your disposal?

Namaste,

Brian

This is a very interesting article series. I like your v-team site (I am going to copy you hahahaha). I would like to comment that there is no need to know programming to do this. Many social sites offer this interactuation with very intuitive tools: myspace, facebook, reverbnation... The key is taking the time to do it and not be lazy about it. Web promoting is not as free as it is said: it requires a huge amount of hours. But, you do it for you.
