I wish I could have had some of this help prior to singing at an audition last week in Australia for the same show that Susan Boyle went onto.As a 65 year yound person, found myself considered as a Susan Boyle wannabe!I was highly insulted as that was not my reason for performing. Can someone tell me if 65 is too old to sing,oh,I sang this past Sunday,The Holy City,I am not trained, but no one threw bread at me:) Elaine B

Frankly, I didn't find anything positive in this article. I found it full of apprehensions. Who wants to be told you're at the bottom of a learning curve after you've put in as much time as she has? If I were her agent I'd tell her we have plenty to build on and cut the negativity.

I never thought about how the "fast forward" of Susan Boyles life has affected her from a professional stand point. I considered how she must personally feel. I truely hope and pray she has an agent that considers what she wants. Seeing what stars and potential stars go through, personally I have no desire to "make it", but I do want to improve myself to be the best I can be.
